Maria Beth Forneris

Maria Beth Forneris age 54 of Claridge, formally of Jeannette, died Thursday June 14, 2017 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Maria was born September 24, 1962 in Jeannette, the daughter of Michael C. Forneris of Jeannette and Joan A. Lunn of Monroeville. Maria attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Jeannette High School in 1981, where she lettered four years in basketball and softball. She then attended Slippery Rock University from 1981 to 1984 when she graduated. She lettered two years in basketball and four years in softball. She was employed as a toll collector by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Maria was preceded in death by her brother Michael J. Forneris. In addition to her parents she is survived by a sister, Michele Chockla (Bernie Mancini); her niece Alexis Nichole Chockla; her friend David of Latrobe; aunts and uncles, Joanne (Forneris) and Ralph Scurci of Jeannette, Angie Lunn of Greensburg, Susan (Lunn) and Darel Richey of Siminole, Hay and Paul Raymond and Diane Baughman of Dawson; numerous cousins; her fiancé Chris Tietze and their beloved dogs Bailey and Clover. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Allegheny General Hospital, especially to Mary, Laura and the nurses in CICU.
