Lucy E. Rogers

Lucy E. Rogers age 86 of Pittsburgh died August 18, 2010 in the Woodhaven Care Center Monroeville. She was born March 21, 1924 in Irwin the daughter of the late George W. and Mary Ann Kasparek Rogers. Lucy was a missionary for 51 years serving in the West Indies, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, countries in South America and in the United States. Before serving in the Missionary she worked for Westinghouse Electric in East Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Rogers (her twin) and George Rogers and 2 sisters, Alice Rogers and Carolyn Hunter. She is survived by a sister Mary Ann Talik of Trafford, a number of nieces and nephews and a dear friend Alma Leona Shadle and husband Jim. Friends and family will be received from 10 AM until 12 Noon the time of the funeral services on Tuesday in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc 702 7th Street (Rt 130) Trafford with Albert Knaggs and Shannon Meyer Officiating. Internment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Twp.
