Joan A. (Lunn) Forneris

Joan A. Forneris, 77, of Monroeville, was taken into the Lord's arms on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, in the Concordia of Monroeville. She was born on Nov. 22, 1939, in Jeannette, the daughter of the late George and Alma (Benson) Lunn. Joan was a retired crossing guard for Monroeville school district. In her retirement, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Forneris; her daughter, Maria B. Forneris; and her beloved partner of over 20 years, John A. "Jack" Speelman. She is survived by a daughter, Michele L. Chockla (Bernie Mancini), of Brownsville; granddaughter, Alexis N. Chockla (David Savage); brothers and sisters, Angie Lunn, of Greensburg, Susan (Lunn) and Darel Richey, of Siminole, Fla., Paul Rayomnd and Diane Baughman, of Dawson; her ex-husband, Michael C. Forneris; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and her partner in crime "Pugsley." Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 7th St. (St. Rt. 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. A blessing service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home with Father David Nazimek as celebrant.
